However, the Board of Rectors Meeting 2026 will focus on the following three main topics:

EVENT LOCATION

Magdeburg

Magdeburg can not only look back on a rich history spanning over 1,200 years, marked by great traditions, periods of prosperity of European significance and times of upheaval; more than ever, it is a city in the midst of change.

Since German Reunification, Germany’s second-greenest major city has been the capital of Saxony-Anhalt, an economic and logistics hub, an internationally recognised centre for science and research, and a sought-after venue for conferences and congresses. With a population of over 240,000 and more than 18,000 students from all over the world, Magdeburg is a city steeped in world history, vibrant with colour, sport, culture and a thirst for knowledge – a forward-looking city that bridges tradition and modernity.
