Programme description

Citizen Science in Action is a Blended Intensive Programme that provides a practical and collaborative learning experience focused on designing and implementing citizen science projects. Through seven thematic modules, participants combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on work on public engagement, data collection and quality, communication, technology, legal and ethical issues, and project development.

In-presence component description

A five-day in-person learning phase at the University of Évora, combining teaching, practical exercises and individual and group project work.

Six online sessions during the first two weeks, complemented by feedback activities, expert lectures, mentoring, homework and reading assignments.

Academic pre-requisites for applicants

Bachelor’s degree or current enrolment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral programme. English proficiency at CEFR level B2 is required.
