EU GREEN - SDG6 - Clean Water and Sanitation

This MOOC introduces the Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), covering the targets and indicators defined by the United Nations, global challenges, strategies, and inequalities in access to water and sanitation, with special attention to vulnerable and low-income communities. Moreover, the course addresses the fundamentals of the Urban Water Cycle, including drinking water and wastewater treatment processes, as well as wastewater reclamation and reuse practices as key strategies to ensure water availability and quality. Finally, the course explores future perspectives and awareness through sustainability tools such as the ecological footprint and water footprint, supporting decision-making and promoting sustainable water systems worldwide.
