Applied AI: Foundations and Applications - BIP course summer 2026

BIP-course with a one week mandatory physical attendance in June. This course is open to anyone with a bachelor’s degree who wishes to gain knowledge in AI. Final-year students in engineering or science disciplines are also eligible to apply. The BIP-course provides a comprehensive introduction to artificial intelligence and machine learning, blending foundational theory with hands-on practice. Students will develop essential skills in building, training, and evaluating supervised and unsupervised ML models, while gaining practical experience with neural networks, CNNs, and transformer-based NLP techniques. Through Python and Google Colab–based exercises, students will learn to design and implement AI solutions that address real-world challenges. The course also highlights sustainable and impactful AI applications across sectors such as healthcare, transportation, and agriculture, enabling learners to understand, interpret, and apply AI technologies responsibly in diverse industry contexts.
