Paper Week
Paper Week at the University of Parma is a year-round initiative designed to promote long-term awareness of sustainability and the circular use of paper, encouraging lasting behavioural change within the academic community. A central EU GREEN initiative is the Book Crossing programme, which enables the continuous reuse and sharing of books across campus spaces. Another key EU GREEN initiative is the seminar “The Second Life of Paper”, focusing on national strategies and local practices in paper recycling. The programme also includes workshops and seminars exploring sustainable packaging, green economy opportunities, and industrial innovation. Overall, Paper Week prioritises long-term cultural impact over individual events, fostering responsible consumption and circular thinking.
