Join the EU GREEN Academic Retrear 2026

The EU GREEN Academic Retreat 2026, hosted by the University of Extremadura in Badajoz, will bring together academic staff from across the Alliance to explore how universities can design and implement innovative joint international programmes. Under the theme “Joint Futures: Innovating International Programs through Virtualization, AI and Languages,” the two-day retreat will combine conceptual approaches with practical tools for strengthening international academic collaboration.

The programme will focus on three key dimensions: virtual and collaborative learning, the responsible use of artificial intelligence in higher education, and plurilingual approaches including English-Medium Instruction (EMI). Through expert-led sessions and hands-on workshops, participants will explore the development of joint academic programmes, virtual and hybrid learning environments, AI-supported teaching and learning, and multilingual international education. The retreat will culminate in collaborative workshops where participants will apply these approaches to the design of virtual joint modules and international academic programmes.
